Monochrome engraving of a star chart, with constellations illustrated as figures. Aquarius is in the centre. This chart is notable because it gives the Arabic names (in Latin script) of many stars and also because it includes two new (non-traditional) constellations: "Le Ballon AEronautique" (the hot-air balloon) and "Microscopium". Artist's name, "J. Archer sc.", at lower right. The brightness of many stars is also indicated, in English. Part of Cetus is visible, as pointed out by a pencil inscription on the mounting beside it.
