Hand colored engraving depicting a whale on the surface of the water, facing left and seen from the side, with a young sailor atop his back and a figure of Napoleon visible over its belly (the implication being that he is inside its stomach). The whale is spouting and wears a yellow collar emblazoned with the text "IOHN BULL Emperor of the Sea"; it has a human eye and eyebrow and glances towards the viewer. The sailor similarly turns his head towards the viewer, smiling; by his head is the text " D__n [damn] me how he Gorged him" Above Napoleon's head, connected to him by a dashed line, is the dialogue "O that I may Prove a second Jonas _ that he may cast me up again". He is kneeling, with hands clasped, facing left. Publisher name at bottom left. Title printed in lower margin.
