Hand colored lithograph showing a side view of the Ostend whale, with a pedestal erected atop it, and a man tipping his hat and waving a French flag standing thereatop. At left, a procession of men in top hats approcaches the center of the image, headed by a man waving a French flag. Also on left is a large elephant with four figures on its back. At right are six men in Chinese traditional dress, one of whom holds the reins of a giraffe. Title and artist attributions printed in lower margin.
