Hand-colored engraving of the map of the Middle East, including Cyprus, part of the Persian Gulf and the north shore of the Red Sea with of Old Testament locations, including Babel and Nineveh. This is a variant print issue, decorated with a compass rose and caliper scale at the upper corners, rather than the coat of arms of the Duke of Buckingham and Adam and Eve's Expulsion vignette.
