Hand-colored, copperplate-engraved map of Ancient Germany published in Willem Blaeu's Theatrum orbis terrariumsive Atlas Novus (1654). Extremely detailed depictions of trees, mountain ranges, cities, and rivers. Relief depicted pictorially. The cartouche on the bottom left lists the "double positions" of things in the old, local vocabulary used during the time of King Charles. Two men in wolfskin stand at either end of the title cartouche on the bottom right.
