Black and white engraving. The center image depicts Jonah cast onto some rocks by the sharp-toothed whale. The border is decorated with intricate floral motifs and wheat stalks, and two maidens in white robes and flower crowns flank the left and right sides of the frame. The image comes from Harper's Illuminated Bible, where it was originally displayed in Chapter II on p. 819.
