Page from a book with an engraving in top right corner. The page has not been cut down and was probably never bound. The engraving features two frames; each with a whale and a stylized border such that the whale appears to be drawn on a piece of paper nailed to a board. The top image is a side view of a spouting whale. The text reads, "WALVISCH achter over gekand zynde" (Eng: WHALE behind on opposing [side?]) Below the whale is a scale and the text, "Rhynlandsche Maat van 36 voet" (Eng: Rhinelandish 36 feet in Size). The lower frame shows a whale with an open mouth viewed at an angle. Accompanying text reads, "Gapende WALVISCH waar in den Stant der Baarden werd aan geweezen." (Eng: Yawning WHALE which was noted in the Stant of Baarden)
