Paperback book cover for Janelle Taylor romance nover `Destiny's Temptress;' cover shows a man and woman in a romantic embrace, with horses and a southern plantation house in background; embedded within upper right corner of cover is an embossed, rainbow-colored holographic foil sticker; depending on angle of light, there appears either the words `A Zebra Romance,' or an image of a man and woman kissing behind a heart-shaped hole in a lattice-work wall; a press-release-type note from Bauer and Rosner, Inc. Marketing Communications is adhered to the back of the cover, reading: `An example of an innovative marketing use of the hologram is its first use on a book as logotype to establish brand identity. Instituted by Chariman...of ZEBRA Books, this "heart" hologram, with its complex images, was produced by American Banknote. It is one of the best examples of a mass-produced hologram. They became intrigued with the idea of using it on their books after purchasing a holographic art piece at an auction two years ago. Previously they had created a 3-D children's magazine, complete with colored glasses.'
