Untitled [Sundial tests ?]
Named collection: Holography Collection
Object type: hologram
Maker: unknown
Date made: date unknown
Materials: laser transmission; glass
Measurements: 5 in x 4 in
Classification: holograms
One of a series of 6 laser transmissions holograms; object numbers MOH-1986.20.01-.05 show no recognizable image; in a few, one can see a vague image but it's unidentifiable; .06, however, clearly shows an object which appears to be the same as in object number MOH-1982.11.01, by Adrian Lines; According to Museum of Holography's notes, it shows `a sundial with changing shadow...metal swirls of dolphin bodies coming out from both sides'; as strange as that description is, it is hard to accurately desribe; MOH-1986.20.01 is a red image, as compared to the golden-orange color of MOH-1982.11.01, which is a reflection hologram.
Please note that due to the unique challenges of holography as a medium, high-resolution digital images are not available for most items in the holography collection. Please contact us for more information on reproducing images of holograms.
