Large 30-sided wooden-frame structure that contains 35 individual, small holographic glass plates, in 8 horizontal rows; from top to bottow, there are 2, 3, 6, 7, 6, 5, 3, and 2 holograms in the rows; glass plates are packed tightly together; most of the plates show either tree trunks or bare tree branches; each of these plates shows a dual image; that is, as viewers move left or right, they see one of 2 images in each plates; 3 of the plates show abstract patterns; holograms are sharp and show good 3-D depth, as some objects appear to break the image plane; a crack appears in one of the plates; images in holograms are either blue, green or yellow.
Please note that due to the unique challenges of holography as a medium, high-resolution digital images are not available for most items in the holography collection. Please contact us for more information on reproducing images of holograms.
