Male and female hands are clenched together in a grim dance. The theme of the Conjugal Series is marriage in the wider sense, with both positive and negative aspects. Images of nurturing, feeding, dancing, playing can also be interpreted as smothering, wasting, struggling, constraining.
Photo copyright M. Benyon. Please note that due to the unique challenges of holography as a medium, high-resolution digital images are not available for most items in the holography collection. Please contact us for more information on reproducing images of holograms.
