Twelve dichromated gelatin, coin-size, greenish-gold holograms, set within clear glass disks, arranged in 4 horizontal rows of 3 holograms each, set within black matting; MOH-1993.47.182.01 is a U.S. silver dollar coin; .02 is a 1884 coin with a woman's face; .03 is the Sphinx; .04 is an intricate design; .05 reads `HUGHES' and shows small gears; .06 is a butterfly; .07 is the head of a rose; .08 shows a crown over 1977 over a banner reading `The Queen's Silver Jubilee'; .09 is a leaf; .10 are radiating beams that form light spots in the center; .11 shows a pyramid with the Sphinx head from above; .12 shows hundreds of small connected balls, as in a molecule chain.
