"The three-dimensional shape of a turbulent smoke plume was captured by laser fluorescence, and computer-processed to identify the flow-lines. These were then rendered and holographically recorded to present a clearer preception of the underlying structure." (from display label used during exhibition) Please note that due to the unique challenges of holography as a medium, high-resolution digital images are not available for most items in the holography collection. Please contact us for more information on reproducing images of holograms.
