Colored engraving depicting an aggrieved sea lion, bearing his teeth, with a female lying peacefully beside him with her eyes closed, upon a rocky beach. Behind them, at left, is a seal whose body has taken up an S-shape, and some cliffs. In the right-hand background are more seals and walruses, some at sea and some on the beach. Above the image is the text, "London: Published by Alexr. Hogg at the Kings Arms. No. 16 Paternoster Row." Below the image is the title. Arrowheads have been crudely drawn over the object in thick pencil, and the title has been struck out by what appears to be the same hand.
