A port view of the Blackwall frigate Indiaman, the 'Prince of Wales.' Built in 1842, she was specially fitted for carrying troops to the East. She was known to have a classical female figurehead and the Prince of Wales' feathers on the side of the stem. Here, she sails off a coast, seen in the background, flying a British ensign. A smaller, one-masted sailboat navigates in the foreground near her stern. The print is dedicate in the bottom margin to Richard Green, Esquire of Blackwell by the artist, Thomas G. Dutton.
