A colored view of the American steam yacht the 'North Star' off a British coast. A circular fortress is visible in the left background. The 'North Star' flies the British red ensign, a flag of the Vanderbildts and an American yacht ensign. The paddles of the yacht spin rapidly and smoke trails from the two smokestacks on deck. Passengers enjoy the view on the deck.
