A starboard-broadside view of the cutter yacht 'Volante' in a busy harbor full of various steam and sailing craft. In the right foreground, a sailor looks at the cutter in a small dinghy. 'Volante' was a fast yacht that did very well in races. In the lower margin, along with the title and description of the yacht, are black-and-white sketches of the prizes she won in her many races.
