The dressed HMY 'Victoria & Albert II' leaving the Terrace Pier of Gravesend on February 2nd 1858. On board are the Prince and Princess Frederick William of Prussia. The HMS vessels on the right side of the print are also dressed in flags. Sailors man the yards on the HMS 'Lapwing,' and HMS 'Alacrity.' Green hills and a spire of the nearby town are visible in the background.
