A tinted lithograph of a quarter head and port-broadside view of the East Indiaman, 'Alfred.' Launched in 1845, she was built by Green's for the London to Calcutta run. All of her sails are full and set except the main course and mizzen course. She has a row of gun ports on her broadside. In the distance, there is a coast on the left side of the print and various other sailing vessels.
