Hand-colored map of southern Greece after Johannes W. Lauremberg from Jan Jansson's Atlantis Majoris Quinta Pars Orbem Maritimum seu... (Amsterdam: 1650). Two decorative scenes on the left and right bottom corners of the map merge with cartouches containing the title and scale. Three men in fur-trimmed caps gather behind the title cartouche; various maritime and war implements jut out from the right side of the title cartouche. A sailing vessel in the distance has flags that are colored to match the French flag. The map scale cartouche is surrounded by playful putti that are backgrounded by a dam or aquaduct structure by a water source and trees. Whales and small sailing vessels decorate the seas.
