Black and white engraving from an illustrated Bible of Jonah, depicted looking up towards the sky, on the shore with the whale behind him. In the background is a seaside city with simple European-style architecture, behind which is a large, jutting outcropping with a road curving up it. Two sailing ships are also shown. The text is given in three languages, English atop the engraving and French and Dutch below the engraving. "Jonah cast on shore by the whale. Ionah. II. 10.", "Jonas rendue par le poisson sur le rivage.", "II.11. Jonas van den Visch op't land geworpen." In the lower right corner there is a number, "V.1.79"
