Monochrome engraving from a copy of "Orlando Furioso", depicting the knight Rogero in full armor, with a plump nude young woman behind him, atop the back of a flying hippogriff. Below, there is a cliff with shackles still rooted in it, and a sea in which a vast, eyeless, and sharp-toothed monster swims. On a distant shore is a small crowd of figures. The engraving is labeled "Plate X." Below the image is the following text, "Rogero, pitying, heard the dame deplore; Then broke her bonds, and took her from the shore. He spurs; the courses spurns the sand, and flies Aloft in air, and travels thro' the skies." The verso is blank.
