Engraved ship portrait of the ship "Massachusetts", owned by B. Forbes of Boston, with an accompanying article, both pasted on the same mounting. The article, which begins "This fine Steam of Screw Auxiliary Packet-ship arived at Liverpool o [sic?] Wednesday week, after a run of about thirty days, from New York," describes the new combination of sail and steam power used to drive the ship and mentions the name of the owner, who may be a relative of Allan Forbes.
