Color hand-painted illustration of a porpoise; watercolors atop a pencil outline. The animal has a white snout and underside and a grey back, and white flippers with a black half-crescent towards the tail end of the animal. The artist has rendered the shadow under the animal in grey. It has a small eye set back from its snout, almond-shaped with a grey iris and a small white area representing a shine or reflection. Under the image is handwritten ink ink, "The Right Whale Porpoise".
