Monochrome engraving showing the skull of what appears to be a narwhal, with the horn broken into pieces and the pieces laid alongside the skull. Care has been taken in rendering the folds and indentations of the bone. Title at top: "The Outside of the head of the Unicorn as it looks att [sic] the Upper part." At top, "Vol. I. p. 425".
