Plate from a book showing whales and a seal, and the corresponding caption from the text, mounted together. The plate is entitled "Däggdjur: Sälar, Hvalar." (Mammals: Seals, Whales.) and numbered Pl. 7. At top is a walrus, labeled "1.". Below a dashed line are two whales, a narwhal, and a dolphin, labeled 2-5, and below is printed a legend giving the species name, with the common name in parentheses, for each numbered animal. On the caption, cut from a book, more detailed information about each animal is given in Swedish.
