A half-tone in sepia of a mirror image of the 17th-century print depicting two Dutch yachts sailing in a harbor. The ships, full of people on deck, dynamically navigate the tumultuous waves as their sails haphazardly flail in the wind. In the background is a city skyline. The collector, Arthur H. Clark, used this print from his collection to illustrate his book 'The History of Yachting, 1600-1815' (New York & London: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1904), 18. Concerning the illustration, he wrote: "...a portrait is also given of the yacht owned by Maurice of Nassau, the younger son of William the Silent, who died at The Hague on April 23, 1625."
