igh-speed photogrpah of a bat in flight. "Since the flight of a bat cannot be anticipated with any precision, the animal was allowed to fly freely in a darkened room. Once it interrupted a beam of light aimed at a photoelectric cell, the flash was automatically released. Withthis method, Edgerotn caught the first detailed photograph of a bat in flight."
