When all three holograms are placed in a 16" diameter drum and lit by six unfrosted vertical filament 100 watt light bulbs placed closely side by side - the viewer will see six by six matrix - thrity-six little screens in different rainbow colors - each about the size of an ice cube. Running time: 20 minutes. Scenes are from classic silent movies including the work of Chaplin, George Melies and the Keystone Cops. Please note that due to the unique challenges of holography as a medium, high-resolution digital images are not available for most items in the holography collection. One of three holograms intended to be placed side by side for display. MOH-1978.47.02 has six horizontal rows that run across a long strip of holographic film; each row contains a television screen-shaped, rainbow-colored image; as viewer moves to left or right, the image also moves and shows a short silent movie clip; rows (from top to bottom) show: 1-3: men and woman running through rooms of a house; 4: cars moving up a street; 5: lakeside scene involving a car; 6: woman chasing after a man in a street.
