Tool-box-shaped plastic box that contains a motor and light bulb; the motor turns a rod that pokes its way through a hole in the top of the box; a separate structure is screwed into this rod; this structure consists of 7 various-sized glass disks from holographic scanners, stacked at different angles on another metal rod; each of these glass disks contains dichromated gelatin holograms, which produce rainbow-colored diffraction patterns when lit from underneath; the light bulb shines through a large hole in the top of the box; the light strikes the rotating glass disks; a label on the box reads `Ever Wanted to Try Out a Holographic Scanner?'; a business card on the front of the box gives the creators' names and addresses; a handle at the top of the box allows for easy carrying; a cord and plug comes out of the back of the box.
