Mini Celeste (Celeste Undressed)
Named collection: Holography Collection
Object type: hologram
Maker: Claudius, Peter; Multiplex Moving Holograms
Date made: 1978
Materials: 120° integral stereogram (Multiplex); film
Measurements: 9 1/2 in x 19 in
Nomenclature: commercial
Classification: holograms
When viewer stands to right of hologram, a nude woman is shown from behind in a kneeling/squatting position; as viewer moves to left, she turns, staring at viewer with her head craned slightly backward, her right hand on a breast, her right hand in her crotch; as viewer continues to move to left, she straightens her head and moves her right hand to her mouth, suggestively placing her fingers in her mouth; by end, viewer is viewing her from behind; minor flaw exists toward the left-center portion--as viewer moves to left, motion becomes jerky and confused, as though a double-exposure has occurred; rainbow-colored image.
Please note that due to the unique challenges of holography as a medium, high-resolution digital images are not available for most items in the holography collection. Please contact us for more information on reproducing images of holograms.
