Proof print of the model yacht "Truant" in a harbor. Model yacht clubs, like the Birkenhead Model Yacht Club, in England promoted the sailing and racing of small-scale model yachts. Model yachts were copies of the original made on a lower scale, usually between 4-8 tons. The model yacht "Truant" won three races in Liverpool and two in Ireland.
