Two cutter yachts sail close-hauled in the left background and two ships on the dry, hilly shore fly maritime signal flags. On the verso is a scaled drawing of the plan of a bird's eye view of the yacht's deck. Some measurements (upside down) are scrawled below the bow of the vessel.
