Monochrome engraving with a chart of the stars and figurative illustrations of the constellations overlaid atop them. This chart is notable because it gives the Arabic names (in Latin script) of many stars and also because it includes two new (non-traditional) constellations: "Le Ballon AEronautique" (the hot-air balloon) and "Microscopium". Artist's name, "J. Archer sc.", at lower right. The brightness of many stars is also indicated, in English.
