Page 693 (verso 694) from the book "De cetis" (Liber 1) by Ulyssis Aldrovandi, first edition (1613). Hand-colored. Depicts a side view of a creature similar to a carpenter shark, but with two spouts of water seemingly emerging from the far side of its head. With text in Latin. On verso, top and bottom views of the "saw" of a carpenter shark.
