Three separate sheets of film that when adhered together form one continuous image (each sheet is a 120-degree hologram); film is placed in a special rotating structure [see Notes below]; as structure rotates, viewer sees a bearded man (carpenter) wearing glasses, a cap and a basketball jersey reading `MAJESTIC' on front; at start of hologram, he is shown with his back to viewer, holding a hammer; pieces of lumber are resting on concrete blocks; a ladder is in background; as structure moves, he puts down the hammer picks up a saw and begins to saw a piece of wood; as structure turns, his position rotates so halfway through the rotation, he is facing the viewer; as rotation continues, he puts the saw down, picks up the piece of wood and seemingly hands it to someone off camera; the scene is strange and may incorporate some special effects, the board, for example, appears to be exceptionally wavy; this may be due to a special effect or to a defect in the Multiplex technique.
Please note that due to the unique challenges of holography as a medium, high-resolution digital images are not available for most items in the holography collection. Please contact us for more information on reproducing images of holograms.
